The dreaded smear.
The awkward sit up on the table with your legs wide open.
The crisp white and blue paper with the logo, NHS on the top right corner letter that arrives in your 25th year of life.
In reality having a smear is not that bad and realistically is life saving.
I was chatting away to a friend the other day about how I have had to book in for my smear and she was asking me a load of questions about what happens, how it feels etc. It dawned on me that younger women might be aware of the test but don’t really know whats involved.
