Community ‘Picnic on the Green’

You might recall that back during Easter, myself and some other residents of our newly built development organised an Easter Egg hunt for the children of out community?!

It was a huge success with over 40 children running around green areas of the development collecting chocolate eggs and clues for the Easter egg trail.

Soooo with the egg hunt being such a success we thought it was only right to celebrate the British Summer with a picnic for all to enjoy!

We started with all sorts of crazy ideas but calmed our excitement down and organised a fantastic day out for all to enjoy.

We had a coconut shy, Nerf gun arcade, Live music entertainment, raffle with some fantastic prizes from local family attractions, fun dog show, fancy dress parade and hog roast!

The whole afternoon was FREE! Yep a free day out, in this day and age is unheard of! the hog roast and raffle tickets were chargeable but otherwise we welcomed everyone to join us on the green with a blanket and a picnic to enjoy the entertainment and sunshine!

We were so lucky with the weather too, we planned it for the august bank holiday Sunday afternoon and luckily it was one of the hottest days of the year. a bit too hot for some of the dogs!

All the money raised we have put back in the kitty for our next eventsĀ for all to enjoy!
