My ‘She Shed’ Project

When my dad decided to upgrade his Summer house and declared he needed my Husband to pop over next saturday to help smash up the old one, I had to stop myself shouting “no you can’t, I want it, please?!”

I am a little bit obsessed with the Chanel 4 programmes ‘George’s Amazing Spaces’ and ‘Shed of the Year’, so when the opportunity of having my own summer house arrived, I burst with excitement.

Measuring at just 10ft by 6ft  and being very similar in design as the one pictured below, I have huge ideas for my new ‘she shed’ but know I am limited due to internal space.

My ideas are from the extreme to the realistic. I know I would like my little ‘she shed’ to be a place. somewhere I can sit, eat brunch, read, do crafts, type blogs, just somewhere that isn’t home, but also just a hop and skip down the garden away. My personal interior style is always pale, clean colours, with some vintage notes thrown in for good measure. I am totally hooked on the idea of having a wood burner in my new ‘shed shed’, to make it multi-seasonal. I have been trawling through Gumtree and ebay ever since thinking that a wood burner would be a cosy addition.

My Husband has started with the ground work and we are hoping to have the Summer House in place by the end of October.

I will keep you all up to date with snaps on my SnapChat and blog updates on here!
